Love & Pigeon Valley / Uchisar Castle

This afternoon we visited 3 valleys; Uchisar, Pigeon and Love. While Cappadocia is a beautiful city, I have found much of its terrain to be the same, with some minor variations.
Pics #1-3 = Uchisar Castle Valley: Origins -“In the seventh century AD, the Byzantines created a 'buffer zone' in the area against Islamic expansion. The nature of the terrain was conducive to defense, while the camouflage of the buildings provided an improved defense against attackers.” Side notes: Uchisar from the front looks small and unassuming, however when we visited Pigeon Valley, we got to see the ‘backside’. The museum is in the front –At first I thought it was an outside café. Again, looks can be deceiving.
Pic #4 = Pigeon Valley: “earned its name from the countless man made dovecotes (Pigeon Houses) that have been carved into the soft volcanic tuff. Originally the pigeons served a twofold purpose. One as messengers and for the second, farmers collected the droppings from the pigeons to fertilize the well-known, sweet and tasty fruits of Turkey.”
Pic #5-6 = Love Valley: So named because the rock formations resemble a certain part of a man’s anatomy. At the lookout point, there were trees that people use to make ‘wishes’.
