Ireland 8-24-15

Today we drove through the countryside and surrounding towns (really small villages). They are big on fairs and will use any excuse to celebrate. Notice the goat statue -he is 'King Puck' and they celebrate the goat every August and the town draws large crowds. We went to a sheep farm and got a demonstration using sheep dogs. Notice the one picture with the ring of stones in the middle. This structure is around 600 yrs. old. The clans would live in the inner ring and the animals would be in the outermost ring. From there we get -you belong to the 'inner circle'.
